Creative Critical Reflection
1. How does your product us for challenge conventions and how doe sit represent social group issues
- Our product was the Apple Watch and honestly and truly it really makes life easier on your wrist. I personally own an Apple Watch and I always answer calls, text people bak, track my steps heart rate and so much more stuff about myself through a watch and that's the cool part about it. So when the question, "How does your product us for challenge conventions"? , I would say that it makes your life easier, when you done have your phone, you can still be engaging in a very important conversation and the list of many great features go on. For the social group aspect, if you were a track star, or just involved in any sports, you can use this to track your time and your heart rate and even pop a text in the middle of practice. The way this product is so versatile and can fit into almost any category it is put in, is what made this project flow to the max.
2. How does your product engage with audiences an d how would it be distributed as a real media text?
- My product engages with audiences because, it really matches the time of life that we are in as of right now, everyone is looking for a new tech savvy device, and the Apple Watch is usually at the top of the list, especially for apple users. Many people would want to do research on the product and get real person reviews on it, and I feel as if my platform would greatly display the benefits and the handiness of th apple watch. Additionally, this could be transformed into a news article, for more additionally info, or just for people who would prefer reading the benefits, instead of watching it.
3. How did your production skills develop during throughout this project
- My production skills really did improve during the duration of this project, and I relayed when I was able to edit a full commercial, it was my first time and I feel as if I was extremely successful in doing so. Just understanding the terms that we learned inn class and applying that to my filming, with angles and also applying that to my editing with cuts, and different types of sounds. it was great. Being able to see the difference just a higher angle can do, or a close shot can do and being able to identify it as such, was amazing. All in al, I feel like my production skills got better through this project, it was an eye opener of how creative you can really be with things are around you, and create something great out of it,
4. How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project?
- We found different apple commercials and tries to use some songs from their commercials and transfer it over to mines. That was a fun part being able to cut and match the music with the clips was incredible. Additionally, finding different sound effects, was done online aswell. This was always very intricate, because finding the right sound was imperative! It had to match the flow and the scenery that was trying to be created in the moment. A hard part was transferring music from YouTube to ym files, as a mp3 file, but after watching some videos on how to do it, I finally got the hang of it. All in all, the majority of this project was online and technologically based, and I must say each aspect was very amusing and interactive, especially with my wonderful group
