This is Who I Am


Hello, my name is Damaine Thompson. I do attend Fort Lauderdale High, where I am enrolled into the Cambridge program. This program solicits many opportunities, scholastically, which many other programs do not provide. This will be my last year in this program and I do wish to get it in full, and this class is one of the classes that will assist me in doing so. Moreover, I am completely involved into my school's culture. I am apart of the Fort Lauderdale "THEE SOUND" marching band. I have been apart for 3 years and looking forward to my senior year being my 4th. Band has really been a huge part in my life, with everything that I've gone through, making, playing, and listening to true music has always been my escape. I am currently the section leader of the bass section within my drumline, and I am so proud of all that we've accomplished. As for life outside of school, I recently just got a new job at a new restaurant in Las Olas. Prior to this new job, I was working at another restaurant for a year and a few months, as lead host. It was fun at first, but overtime it started to get dreadful, and that caused me to do some searching and I found a new place, that seems enjoyable as of right now. Additionally, I am fully active within the church. I sing, play the drums, dance, preach, and the list goes on. This is something I have been apart of since the womb and it has always stuck with me, and I do truly love everything about it. In conclusion, here is just a-few facts about me, and I hope you continue to follow me as you watch the development process of one of the best movies you've ever seen, happen !

The Final Apple Watch Commercial

This  commercial was really fun to make and enjoyable. First, with working with my group, it was really interactive and fun to be able to conjoin with people and develop a commercial. I always wanted to record and edit a video for something fun and I was glad I was allowed to do it with my group. Also, learning about the different important details of editing, filming, and etc. was really interesting to me, especially since I am really invested in filming and editing. It was fun to explore new things and be able to understand the small details of everything. By using my vocabulary words for, casual things I would usually say was really interesting and fun to do. All in all, this was a very fun project and I really do enjoy it, and I would love to do it again some day .

The Dream Team

 This project I will be working with a group of friends, that I have acquired over the period of this class. For the first project I worked with 2 people, Alejandro and Pedro. It wasn't the best group, I felt as if I did majority of the work and it made the project not so fun at all, I was aggravated and I did not want to be apart of something that was so one sided. With all of that, it caused me to work by myself for the second project which was more enjoyable in the sense that i didn't have people just benefiting from my work for free, but it was stressful at the same time, because I really didn't have anyone to be my actors. Especially since my family was always, and my friend schedules never really matched up together. This motivated me to meet a group of people that had the same drive for their work as me and the same type of decorum, when it comes to putting in a hand in a project.
