AICE Media Studies

 Today we met and we airdropped all of our videos to the laptop which we will be editing on. We know this is the most time consuming portion of the whole project and the most critical. Majority of our point are going to be coming from this apart as the beginning of a movie definitely needs editing and texts all over it to carry over it's message. Air dropping all these videos took an extremely long time. Some of the files were big and some were small, so this portion took about 30 minutes. To make our load lighter we edited some of the clips as we airdropped them to the laptop. At this point we did not have a title for our movie, so during the transference of the clips, we decided on one the title which will be "The House". We decided on this because the climax of our film, transpires and commences in a house. After we came up with the title, we started to mess around with the different settings on the application. Today was Spring Break and we decided to link up again to finish filming some finishing parts. Since the weather permitted, we were able to film the rest of our scenes. We had to wear the same clothes so our films from the previous times would match each other. We used the drawings and words from the storyboard to match with our filming and that helped the flow of our filming process go extremely fast. We took a break and went to El Camino, to have some tacos and to talk and take a break, it was still spring break, and aside from filming, we wanted to have some fun as well. We took about 2 hours there, just having a multitude of happy hour tacos and some soft drinks as well. Our server there went to Fort Lauderdale as well and took the same AICE Media class we were in and helped us with some of our ideas for our movie. It was really fun to engage with other people rather than classmates that had prior experience in the class. When we left, we went back to the house to do our finishing

Today, my group and I filmed the first part of our film. We were only able to shoot certain scenes because we ended up getting rained out and couldn't do the scenes that required us to be outside. We had to move from the beach to the house and had to adjust our plans to one of our partner's houses. The scenes we were able to do were the car scenes, target scenes, and any scenes that involved us being inside the house. Today was a half-day at school so we were able to leave school early which meant we could also start filming early. We all met at Damaine's car where he took us to get chic-fil-a. Rather than going to eat at Pedro's house, we ate in the car so we could do the car scenes at the same time and not have to do them at a later date. After we finished eating we tried to find a Wal-Mart that was near us. We could not find any in our proximity so we decided to opt for Target which was much closer.  Today we had to re-assess our music selection. We had to look up "royalty-free" music before this conversation. We tried to email and direct message them on Instagram, and we never got a response from them. Our filming dates were coming soon, so we had to think of something quick! The music we had to put on was extremely bland and not to our level of music, but we made it work and we had fun with it. We tried to scroll through youtube and had to look for music in the car before we drove off. It was about like 20 different versions of "royalty-free" music. Jordyn was the most difficult during this phase We sat in the car for about 30-minutes trying to figure it out, and during this process, we had grabbed Chic-fil-a and sat in the car for a minute to eat it and enjoy each other's company. After a lot of time passed, we finally decided on a song. And we filmed one of our clips that coincided with the music we selected. After that, we just listened to music that w

 Today in class, we had discussed all of our schedules and how we will fluctuate them, to make them work for everyone to meet. We had to go on each person's job schedules to make sure we were making the best decisions, to where our jobs were concerned. After a lot of juggling, we decided to film on March 17th and March 19th. We had to contact all our parents to make sure, it was okay to do these filming dates with both them and their prior schedule plans. We had different plans to do different things on both filming dates. Considering the time change, we want to film our night shots on Saturdays and our day shots on Thursday. We are going to use a Canon T6 to film instead of a regular camera, to allow for better quality within the filming. Additionally, our plan would be to get food after school, and fellowship. After that, we will head to Pedro's house and start setting up the filming area and just start filming the video. This was all we discussed on this day, and we are exci

 Today is the first day we actually started to go deep into the preparation of our movie. With finalizing our emailing the producers of the music we intend to use. We were trying to figure out how to access the emails of the artists/producers of the song, but we were unsuccessful. We did not know that the contact information of the artists would be so hard to achieve. So we went on Instagram and Direct messaged, Kesha and LMFAO, inquire for the permission to use the music. Also, we figured the placement of the songs within our film. Alongside that we tried to look for back up songs in case that these artists did not get back to us. So we went on youtube to look for copy righted music and we also did direct message smaller artists, knowing we will have a better opportunity to get in contact with them. We are trying to find songs that are more up beat and full of vibes. This will connect with the overall intention we are trying to bring across with the vibe of the scene in which the musi
